Currently a Senior System Administrator for the NAS Supercomputers at NASA Ames Research Center, this is David’s third “tour of duty” at Ames. He was an Aerospace Engineer and came to NASA in 1975 from Douglas Aircraft Company in Long Beach to work in the Aerodynamic Division surface modeling on results presentation as well as the newly installed minicomputer network. After leaving and working in Silicon Valley in many different areas including Artificial Intelligence he returned to Ames in 2002, leaving again in 2006 before returning into his current position. He has only recently taken up music playing resophonic (lap steel) guitar with the Ames Bluegrass Band and the ukulele with the Ukulele Club of Silicon Valley.
