Frank is an aeronautical engineer specializing in basic experimental and computational aerodynamics of helicopter rotors. A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Stanford university, he has worked for the U.S. Army Aeroflightdynamics Directorate for the past 42 years – at the NASA Ames Research Center in California. Frank is happily married and has two grown children and two grandchildren. His foremost hobby is piano playing, which he originally began as a child – under duress. His primary musical interest is classical American jazz and popular music (roughly everything up to Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennet). Frank has played piano with the NASA Ames Jazz Band since its inception about 10 years ago.
