We are thrilled to announce that Lighthouse is one of the co-producers of a new film that documents the creation of The International Space Orchestra by experience designer, Nelly Ben-Hayoun. By Jamie Wyld

Lighthouse is one of the co-producers of Nelly Ben-Hayoun’s first feature film, ‘International Space Orchestra’, a 57 minute documentary about the making of The International Space Orchestra’s first work, Ground Control: A Space Opera.

The film world premieres at this year’s Rotterdam International Film Festival on 25 January, with two subsequent screenings also taking place over the festival period on 26 & 29 January.

International Space Orchestra tells the story of the incredible journey that Ben-Hayoun took with the employees of NASA Ames Research Center and the SETI Institute in California during 2012, in setting up the International Space Orchestra, and the production of the space opera they made together.

The film contains interviews with scientists from NASA, as well as the final production ofGround Control: A Space Opera, it features musical contributions from Damon Albarn andBobby Womack, Penguin Café (Arthur Jeffes), Maywa Denki, Grammy Award WinningEvan Price and lyrics by science fiction author Bruce Sterling.
